An Alumni Talk was organised by the School of Mechanical Engineering on 27/05/2026 for second semester Mechatronics Engineering students, on the topic “Engineering Innovation with CAED – Designing the Future”. The event was held at the CAED Lab, SMV Block, REVA University, and was coordinated by Dr. Nikhil Rangaswamy and Dr. Pradip Gunaki, Assistant Professors, School of Mechanical Engineering, REVA University.

Computer-Aided Engineering and Design (CAED) has revolutionised the way engineers conceive, analyse, and manufacture products. From 3D modelling and simulation to finite element analysis (FEA) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), CAED tools bridge the gap between theoretical engineering knowledge and practical, industry-ready solutions. REVA University, through its theme of “Educate to Enterprise,” actively promotes the integration of such industry-relevant technologies into its academic framework to produce engineers who are innovative, skilled, and ready to meet the demands of modern industry.
