Alumni Talk - “BIM and its Practical Applications”

An Alumni Talk was organised by the Alumni Club, School of Civil Engineering in association with REVA University Alumni Association on 18th September 2025. The session was handled by Ms. Kavya Venkataraju, BTech Civil Engineering graduate of REVA University of batch 2018. The participants of the session were students of Third Semester B Tech in Civil Engineering. The title of the session was “BIM and its Practical Applications”. The main objective of the session was to introduce BIM to students to help them be better prepared. Ms. Kavya explained the various dimensions of Construction activities and the tools that come in handy. She shared her experience of completing Masters in UK. An activity of passing the balls showed how the information is passed between various departments in construction and between client and company demonstrating the importance of BIM in construction. The session was addressed by Prof. Srinidhi S U, event coordinator and President, REVA University Alumni Association. Prof. Raghunandan handed over a token of appreciation to Ms. Navya on behalf of School of Civil Engineering and REVA University Alumni Association. Ms. Monisha, President of Alumni Club, School of Civil Engineering proposed of the Vote of thanks.
