Alumni Talk on “My Experiential Learning through Internship”

An Alumni Talk was organised by the Alumni Club, School of Civil Engineering in association with REVA University Alumni Association on 17th September 2025. The session was handled by Ms. Navyashree P M , MTech CTM graduate of REVA University of batch 2024. The participants of the session were students of Third Semester B Tech in Civil Engineering. The title of the session was “My Experiential Learning through Internship”. The main objective of the session was to motivate students to experience self-learning and to prepare for industry-oriented learning. Ms. Navyashree in her session explained the importance of Internship to Civil Engineering students. Taking students through her journey, she explained various concepts that she learnt during her Internship at Modscale, an interior designing company. Some of the concepts she covered during the talk included, various materials and their selection basis. These concepts are also being taught to students in one of their courses. Hence the talk added value to their leaning. Ms. Navyashree explained the concept of Project Management and its necessity stressing on the need to learn various softwares as civil engineers need to be industry ready. The session was addressed by Prof. Srinidhi S U, event coordinator and President, REVA University Alumni Association. He also handed over a token of appreciation to Ms. Navya on behalf of School of Civil Engineering and REVA University Alumni Association. Ms. Monisha, President of Alumni Club, School of Civil Engineering proposed of the Vote of thanks.
