School of Commerce, School of Management Studies and REVA Business School jointly organized the Alumni Meet-2022 on the 29th of January, Saturday from 6 pm to 7 pm on MS Team. The grand event was graced by the presence of Honorable Chancellor, Dr. P. Shyamaraju, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dhanamjaya, Dean of RBS, Dr. Shubha A. It was attended by all the eminent faculty members of RBS, SOM and SOC and the Alumni of all the three Schools. As many as 200 Alumni joined the live event and were inspired by the motivating address delivered by our Hon Chancellor sir and Vice Chancellor sir. The highlights of the event was the talk by 6 recognised and well-achieved alumni of SOC, SOM and RBS- Mr. Ashutosh Shrivastava, Ms. Apeksha AP, Mr. Vedant Verma, Ms. Gauri Varshney, Ms. Pooja Bhimappa and Ms. Aishwarya V.

The event started with the anchoring done by MOC, Prof. Preethi BN. The Welcome address was rendered by Dean RBS, Dr. Shubha A. Dr Shubha A, welcomed the virtual gathering and started her address by welcoming the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, faculty of Commerce and Management studies and RBS, She extended her special welcome to the students who joined from different time zones.

Her Welcome note also highlighted the importance of being connected with the university, emphasizing the point that Alumni are always the pride to the University. REVA has kept up its tradition of always staying connected with its students. Even these unprecedent times has not stopped REVA in staying connected to students and stakeholders. Dr Shubha, remembering her memories of her good old college days and laid impetus on what it meant about going back to the alma mater and home coming is always a rejoiceful moment.

She addressed all the alumnus as 'Students' as they always held a special place in heart. She invited the students to visit the university see the changes and the growth of university since they graduated. Dr Shubha culminated her welcome note by quoting the importance of Alumni involvement in university activities and achievements.

Welcome address was followed by VC sir’s address. Dr M Dhanamjaya, started his address by highlighting the importance of Alumni for the alma Mater, their involvement and collaborations would definitely add value to the university. He also shared the growth story of the university and its ranking under various categories, this left the alumnus feeling proud about their university they graduated from. He also motivated students to stay connected with university through REVA Alumni association.

Vice Chancellor Sir’s address was followed by the talks by 6 recognised Alumni of all the three schools who enthusiastically remembered their student life in the university and thanked all their faculty, Dean, Management and Chancellor sir for everything they received from this university. They appreciated the industry- linked curriculum, wonderful facilities, school library, motivating faculty due to which they are now successful at wherever they are currently.

This was followed by the address by Chancellor sir. Dr. P Shaymaraju, Chancellor of REVA University addressed the gathering, he felt very happy to meet the students who joined in huge number for the Alumni meet, he expressed his joy and welcomed the students. Chancellor's promise to conduct an offline school wise alumni meet after these unprecedented times that had kept us apart, made the alumni feel thrilled on coming back to campus, however, this Virtual meet was no less, it helped alumni re-live the moments spent in the campus as it was beyond boundaries and time zones. Chancellor has always been a visionary and the backbone in the growth and development of the School and the university as a whole. He invited the students to involve in the university activities and always find time to come back to their alma mater to contribute their experience and achievements with the university and present students.

The event culminated by the vote of thanks rendered by Prof. Anitha B of School of Management Studies. She expressed her gratitude to the dignitaries and thanked all for their gracious presence. The event was successful in achieving its purpose of bringing together the alumni across time and distance zones with their university, faculty and Dean. The event received good feedback and appreciation from all alumni who attended the alumni meet.
